In 2013, the Pakistan Muslim League-Noon (PML-N) the government of that time launched the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme, aimed at providing laptops to students who secured at least 60 percent marks in their FSC or fA across the country. The scheme was initiated by Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Ex Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and a prominent leader of the PML-N.
