In a chilling turn during the fourth quarter of their preseason clash, Detroit Lions safety Morice Norris suffered a head and neck injury that abruptly stopped play. The Lions, leading 17-10, saw Norris go limp after attempting a tackle on Falcons runner Nathan Carter. Medical personnel rushed in, and after more than 20 minutes of on-field treatment, Norris was stretchered off and transported by ambulance. In a rare moment of unity, players from both teams allowed the clock to run out before shaking hands and exiting the field.
